This is a large, rural, partially dispensing practice in Argyll which covers some 1000 square miles from the the head of Loch Creran, to the north side of Loch Etive, Lochawe side, Portsonachan and Glenorchy up to the boundary with Perthshire. Connel Surgery opened in 1999 and incorporates a café run by the WRVS.
The Practice received its R.C.G.P. accreditation in March 2002. The Investors in People Award was granted in December 2002.

The Patients' Participation Group MEDCATS was formed in 2005 following the merger with the Dalmally Practice.
This is a committee of patients, Doctors and support staff working together to improve the service offered by the Practice.
Activities of the Group include hosting public meetings on various health topics, providing representation on health forum and community councils, offering comments on patient surveys
and involvement with the volunteer transport scheme.

The designs for the covers are the winning entries in a competition held amongst local primary schools. Over one hundred entries were received.
The winning entries were from Paris Louis, Lochnell Primary School and Neil Sinclair, Kilchrenan Primary School.
