A Pharmacist is available during the above opening hours for the dispensing of NHS and private prescriptions, supplies and delivery of oxygen equipment and can also advise and supply certain medicines.
Advice on prescribed medicines and health issues (a private area is available within the surgery for a discussion with the Pharmacist without need of a prior appointment).
Sales of and advice on "over the counter" medicines.
Sales of pre-payment certificates.
Minor ailments service.
Patient group directives - certain medicines can be supplied, after a consultation with the Pharmacist directly, without the need for a consulatation with a Doctor.
Advice on stopping smoking.
Health Promotion - leaflets and literature are available on a number of subjects.

As the new pharmacy contract is implemented, new services will become available.
Please request repeat prescriptions two working days before they are needed. This allows time for the prescription to be generated, authorised by the Doctor, supplies to be ordered
and the dispensing process to be completed.
Prescriptions can be requested by placing the order sheet in the yellow bin on the counter at Connel Surgery or by calling 01631 710906 and leaving a message on the dedicated answering machine.
