Change in Practice Management
Having been in the post of Practice Manager since June 2011, Jessica Woodhouse will be leaving the position on 12 October to return to live in Norfolk to be closer to her family and friends. Jessica is sorry to be leaving the practice and thanks all colleagues and patients she has worked with for their help, guidance and support.
The practice management role and responsibilities will be handled as follows from Monday 15 October:-
Janice McGhee is a long serving member of the practice team and many will know her well. Janice will now assume the Practice Manager position, with HR responsibility and first point of contact for any staff, patient and organisational/systems issues. She will deal with communications, arranging meetings, dealing with patient complaints and enquiries. Again this is by no means a comprehensive list. Janice’s email address is janice.mcghee@nhs.net.
If you have any queries regarding practice management issues please contact Janice.
New Practice GP Partners
After an exhaustive process, we can announce the outcome of our search for a new GP partner following the departure of Dr Swan in August. We were pleased to have had high quality candidates and as a result have recruited two new partners. The new partnership will commence on the 1st of April next year.
Dr Fiona McPhee has been working as a locum GP with the practice since the beginning of summer. Dr McPhee has an impressive medical CV and enjoys travelling, diving, horse riding, sailing and hill walking.
Dr Martin Flynn has been working in Nairn and also has a dazzling medical CV. He even manages to find time to engage in a number of water-sports, runs, cycles, enjoys travelling and is married with a young family.
Dr Jo Landon and Dr Fiona Shaw will also become partners having been employed by the practice for a number of years. Their medical CVs and interests are available in the Practice Staff section. At the same time Dr Davies will be reducing the number of sessions that she works in the practice.
The practice will continue to provide a service in Dalmally surgery that offers a range of experience and patient choice. This is by a small group of doctors, currently Dr Landon, Dr Lyon and Dr McPhee. The level of appointment provision has not changed and there are no plans to do so. (05/10/2012).
