Dr Fiona McPhee (f)


Fiona began working as a locum GP with the practice in July 2012 becoming a permanent GP Partner in April 2013.  Dr McPhee has an impressive medical CV and enjoys travelling, diving, horse riding, sailing and hill walking. 

Dr Fiona Shaw (f)

Fiona is a family doctor with a special interest in sports medicine and psychiatry.  She is also an accredited GP trainer with NES (NHS Education of Scotland) and does GP specialist training within the practice.

She studied in St Andrews and Manchester University.  She then moved to the West Coast of Scotland to train as a GP.  She worked as a rural locum in Argyll including on Jura and Islay before joining Taynuilt Medical Practice in 2005.  She was welcomed to the practice as a partner in 2013.

Fiona is married with two young boys and enjoys hill walking, kayaking and outdoor swimming.

MBChB (1993), first year of full registration 1994.

Jo works very part time with the practice and sees the students from Ballet West School.

Special interests include childrens and womens health, sexual health, mental health and palliative care.  Jo has a keen interest in performing arts medicine and thoroughly enjoys her work at Ballet West ballet school, providing a unique and personal GP service to the students there.

Jo was born in Newcastle and trained in Leicester and around North Tyneside and Northumberland, including a year in Wellington, New Zealand.  After finishing GP training she worked as a locum GP in and around Newcastle as well as sessions in community child health / adoption and teenage sexual health in inner city Newcastle.
